This course was developed by and is taught by our founder, Lauren Spencer. With more than a decade of experience resolving complex colour issues, which can occur with many factors such as poor colour choice, pigment quality, too much pressure, or client skin characteristics. Lauren has created the perfect solution to correct unwanted colours without causing further damage to the skin. The demand for permanent makeup and microblading procedures has grown. Unfortunately with that growth also comes many artists performing procedures that are not up to standard. Many are not practicing permanent makeup responsibly. Some cases you will come across might just require changing the brow color or shape.

The removal or correction of permanent makeup or tattoos is a delicate and precise task. Lauren has created the HDI Safe Removal system. Not laser. Not saline. It is a gel like formula that has a safe PH balance and targets only cells containing pigment. You and your clients will see immediate results!

During this course you will also learn colour pigmentation corrections and how to assess each treatment correctly. During this course, we cover how to set up your business properly along side with how to continue growing and attracting new clients.

How will this course better me as an artist?
Knowing all the fundamentals as an artist, it is crucial as a permanent make-up artist to understand colour theory and removal in the event it is needed. It is more beneficial for you to offer a bloodless removal technique so you can ensure that it is removed properly and not causing additional scar tissue.
Do I need to be a permanent makeup artist to take this course?
No, we do not require our students to have a background in permanent makeup or microblading.
Will I be confident enough to begin removals once I leave the course?
Yes, you will feel confident to begin working on clients once you leave this course. The hands-on portion of the course, which is supervised by a trainer, is very important, to help you feel confident to carry out the treatment on your own.
How is the removal performed?
The removal process is done with a machine, while using a 3 step system to eliminate the ink.

Online Training

This option allows you to progress as your own pace. A trainer is available to answer your questions via Zoom, Facetime, phone or email. After taking the course, students submit pictures of models that they have completed for grading. Once the student demonstrates proficiency, a certificate is printed and sent.

OPT Training

OPT is an acronym for Online and Personal Training. This option offers Online Learning for the theory, then In-Class Personal Training. In-Class includes a review of the theory material, a live demonstration by a trainer, and then the opportunity to practice under the supervision of a trainer. After taking the course, students submit pictures of models that they have completed for grading. Once the student demonstrates proficiency, a certificate is printed and sent.

In-Class Training

The option is the traditional approach to training. Students receive the theory ahead of time, it is reviewed thoroughly by the trainer, the trainer demonstrates the technique, students practice under the supervision of a trainer. After taking the course, students submit pictures of two to four models that they have completed for grading. Once the student demonstrates proficiency, a certificate is printed and sent.
