Brow Lamination Aftercare

FINALLY, IT HAPPENED! You had your brows laminated. But what now?

Check out our brow lamination aftercare article to keep those beauties looking on point and more beautiful than ever!

WHAT IS BROW LAMINATION?

Brow lamination is a procedure that straightens, lifts, and shapes brows.

A chemical solution is used to break down the connections in the brow hairs, which are subsequently reshaped into the appropriate form. Depending on your aftercare routine, brow laminations can last anywhere from four to six weeks.

Don’t worry if you’re new to the brow laminating game; we’ve got you covered! A brow lamination, also known as a brow perm, is a non-invasive brow smoothing procedure that softens and repositions your natural brow hairs to give a fuller, smoother, but natural appearance with minimum aftercare.

AFTER BROW LAMINATION: WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS

Aftercare for brow lamination is vital since it helps to maintain the brows looking their best and avoids skin irritation or injury. It’s also a vital aspect of getting the most out of your brow lamination investment because good maintenance will help the benefits last as long as possible.

First and foremost, be sure to come to us with a clean, makeup-free face. That includes your brows! Also, if you’ve recently had brow lamination done someplace else, please inform your stylist.

There are a few things you should know and avoid doing after your brow laminating treatment.

  • DON’T Get direct water or steam on the brows.
    • Water should be avoided for the first 24 hours following your brow lamination procedure. This includes not washing your face, bathing, or sweating. Water can make the brows frizzy and can also remove the lamination product.
    • For the next 48 hours, avoid direct sunshine, saunas, and swimming pools: Sunlight, saunas, and swimming pools can all cause the brow lamination product to degrade and fade prematurely. If you must be exposed to direct sunlight, wear a hat or other head covering to protect your brows.
  • DON’T Sleep with your face down.
  • DON’T wear any makeup on your brows. This allows the product to be fully set and reduces discomfort and harm. This, as well as self-tanning creams, might discolour your freshly laminated brows.
    • Only use oil-free products on your brows, since oils can cause the lamination product to break down and fade prematurely.
    • After the initial 24-hour period has gone, you may brush your brows lightly with a spoolie brush or a clean toothbrush. This helps to keep them nice and tidy.
